First time hearing of this probem, that's very bad!
2008 GT Oil Leak
Newbie here.
I have a 2008 G6 GT with 9,000 miles on it. I noticed a spot of oil in my driveway. I looked under the car only to see pan caked with oil and dirt. I took it to a local mechanic and he said it was a rear seal oil leak. I'm taking it to the dealer next week. Good thing for a warranty. Anyone else heard of this or think it's a big issue? I will keep everyone updated on the issue.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

No, if you have the rear seal replaced you should be good to go for a long time.
Oil leak
Got the G6 GT back from the dealership. They found that the rear main seal and the front oil seal were leaking..... Crazy stuff I thought. They also replaced the front crankcase cover. Thank goodness for a warranty. I would have been a lot more sour about this situation if the money came out of my own pocket. Hope this isin't a start of bad things to come because I really like this car.

You shouldn't have any more problems if they did it right. Glad to hear that the warranty took care of it for you.
