Hi All

I was looking for some help regarding my G6.

I left the car for three weeks while on vacation, when I came home the car would not start. I tried to jump the G6 using my other car but all I get is a click or two with the check engine light flashing on. When using the power from the good battery all the lights and electronics work but the G6 still will not turn over even after I rev the engine from the good car and leave it connected for some time.

When I turn the key to ignition the belt moves about a half an inch and then it clicks and that's it.

Any help or suggestions is truly greatly appreciated.

Try disconnecting the serpentine belt, then see if it will start. My A.C. Compressor froze up and the car did the same thing. New compressor, and it started right up. While you have the belt off you can check the water pump, alternator, etc. to make sure they are spinning freely. Hope this helps. Good Luck…
Stay low, and keep movin’.

U got reprogram your key. Put a battery charger on the battery turn the key on but don't start for ten minutes n thirty seconds. Do tht three times and it should start.
