2010 16pin factory radio 2005 pontiac g6 24pin incomatibility

read on here the factory radio units were compatible from 2005 to 2009, wanted one with an aux input

found out the pins at the back were different
instead of buying an older radio with an aux input, what is the cheapest way to correct this error if anyone has been through this before?

I've been trying to do the swap to a newer style 2010 radio with the single knob in the center.
