I personally would recommend disconnecting the battery for ten minutes first before doing anything involving airbags. I have launched many old ones at a theft repair shop I worked at before. They have a pretty much blank 12 gauge shotgun shell for a charge that deploys the airbag. If you pull on the wrong wire accidently you can get seriously injured not to mention you can't buy air bags from the junkyard like CATS, that's against Federal law, so you will be buying a nice new super expensive airbag. Probably a windshield as well. Best just to avoid all that.

So with no pics I'm a little confused. On the cruise control switch I'm assuming you dont add a wire you just move a wire from slot 6 to slot 1. But on the speedometer without pics I dont understand the process. Can anyone explain exactly what I need to do please. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have an '08 and swapped the speedometer and the steering wheel toggle. I figured these pics may be useful.

My procedure was a little different because I pulled parts from a 2010 in the salvage yard.

The harness from the 2 steering modules was the same at the horn for both years. Only the green wire was in a different port so I used the 2010 wires. No popping out wires from the port.

The cluster was a different matter. In the images, the 2010 had two extra wires. I believe that I need to add the green/white wire to B3. That will be done in phase 2 after a little more research.

I wish there was a way to keep the speaker from the '08 cluster. <Shrug> I'll live without chimes.

I hope these pics help.

Reread Cruisin's guide and checked the wiring schematic that the nice dealer service guys gave me. Confirmed that the green/white wire in B3 is the correct one.

Used a toothpick to push it out of the 2010 harness and put it in B3 of my '08 cluster harness. Then I used crimp couplers at the cluster and where I spliced into the green wire coming out of the steering column. Routed the new wire in the same path as the existing wires and used a few zip ties to hold them in place.
Voila! Steering buttons cycle the DIC on the cluster and the stock stereo.

Now to swap in an aftermarket stereo...

Holy crap! I can't believe someone made this so recently! I've been looking for something to help me with this, I want to get a double din head unit with Apple Car-Play/Android-Auto, but I also want to keep the integrated DIC interface. Could I somehow manage to swap the instrument cluster from a 2010, to my 2007, so I can retain all the stock features, while also using an aftermarket radio?
Btw, I don't have any steering wheel control buttons, I'm working on figuring out how to wire ones up if I do get a steering wheel that has one.
Any idea if I would need to change car milage or something? Or are the 2 clusters plug-n-play?
