3.6L No power @1300-1500 RPM

Have noticed my new 2007 GTP (3.6L) has no power in the 1300-1500 RPM range....if you inhibit downshifting (by going manual in 5 or 6), increasing pedal actually makes RPM's decrease for about 1-2 inches of pedal travel....then RPM's will finally start to increase. This happens around 60MPH in 6, around 50MPH in 5. Even in park, as you increase RPMs to about 1300-1500, further pedal will make RPM's sag. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine does that too! The one thing I ALWAYS notice is that when you first apply the pedal in DRIVE after start, it does a major hesitation..as if it wants to stall. Car is at the dealer's right now...they are calling GM today to see what they say about the hesitation @ 1400RPM
