5 spoke spider LED pics

I bought a pair of 3157 LED tail lamps a couple months ago and they were pretty crappy. They were dim amd didnt get much brighter when I hit the brakes. About half the LED's started flickering right after I put them in.

So I ordered a pair of spider LED's that expand once you lock them in, they have front and rear LED's and are pretty unique. I just wanted to show a couple pics because these things are bright as hell just witht the parrking lights on, they get three times brighter with the brakes or turn signals on.

I posted a couple of pics if you guys want to see what they look like. They were $29 for the pair with free shipping from eBay. I had someone ask about them already and they've been in for one day.

This HELPS! Thanks
The blink rate is closer to 3X witout the resistors. Here is a quick diagram, I told you there is nothing to it, just tape up all the exposed wire from the resistors, or you can use heat shrink on them and leave about a half inch of the wore esposed in either end before you solder them on.

I do recommend solder as opposed to twist and tape.

I have to double check the wire colors, I remember purple being the turn signal wire color, if I'm wrong, I'll change the diagram.

Not quite correct. The brake and turn signal use the same bulb filament. The other filament is for the running lights. You want the load resistor on the brake/turn signal wire, between that connection and ground.

Fixed - Thanks for pointing it out. It was late and I was tired, sorry about that.
Im excited to see what they look like with my tinted tails.
mine were shipped on the 13th, Hopefully they get here next week
How bright are these during the day, at night? I am looking for some cool brake/turn signal LED's and if these are the real deal during the day and at night, i want them!!!!
By the looks of the pics on the first page they seem pretty bright during the night, havent seen a day pic tho.
Wondering if they will fit the sedan tails though.......
I got em so when they get here ill let y ou know
I too ordered them, so we will see.
Anyone looking for resistor's, found a link here with looks like quality resistors and everything you need for less then 10 bucks with free shipping

That actually is a pretty good price, depending on the quality of the resistors. Pay heed to the warning about them getting hot, they will emit about 25 Watts of heat, which is a hell of a lot! They will very quickly melt anything plastic that they touch. The best thing you could do would be to bolt/screw them to some metal on the car to help dissipate the heat.

Also note that the diagram shown for connection to a two-filament bulb (three-wire) is wrong; you want the load on the Brake/Turn wire to prevent the fast flash / bulb warning / etc.

I changed the diagram to the correct wire, they dont get all that hot unless you are on your brakes for five minutes straight. Mine are tucked down underneath the light where air circulates under the bumper.
Got mine installed today, bright with running lights on and don't have that much of a super fast flash when the car is running, But I find they don't get that much brighter with the brake lights on.... My tails are tinted some but I find they should be brighter with the brakes on.
i havent had a chance to install mine yet, its been kinda sh*tty out, how dark are your tail lights?

Sorry if you posted a pic, im just at work and they have the interwebz locked down like crazy lol
They don't seem to be all that bad as I originally thought... They look really good...
