CRIMSON RED & NIKKY

I would like to know your VIN's since I beleive that there has been a change in transmission in late 05 productions and 06 production.
You see, GM tech's say's that ALL G6 6 speed are the same and that ALL of them have a rough tranny. My challenge at this time is too find at least 1 (a single one) tranny that has no harshness and then I will be able to prove my point.

So if you can supply me with a VIN number I will be able to establish the date of production and this will help me to find a late production for comparision.

If ever you where located near to Montreal I would get those 2 GM specialists to test drive your cars and put them in front of normal trannies, but I expect you don't live that close to Montreal.

If ever I can get the VIN's it would help.

I'm desparate...

My car was built October,2005. This is stated on the tag in the door jamb. Which digits do you need from the VIN?

Well, the point was that it's now ripping.
I have a small tear in my shift boot, that is barely visible. I'm going to watch it though. I may just purchase a Leather shift boot, in the near future.

Shift Boot

As I undertood, the shift boot is supposed to be leather....I had leather on a 79 Corvette which I kept until 2004, and leather does'nt rip like that.

If it tears up, go for the warrentee.... When we purchase the car, there is a big part of the price is for the warrenty so get GM to respect their committment... Good Luck
