I have a 2010 Pontiac G6 with the 2.4l motor. My A/C is blowing, but not very cold, it's coming out 80+ degrees. Sometimes after long drives it does start to blow cold but most trips I do are less than 15 minutes.

My first thought was the orifice tube or condensor, but after researching it looks like the G6 uses an expansion valve instead? Are there any things I can clean or adjust to try and get it to blow colder? I think the compressor is working fine it just seems to be not getting the right pressure. No freon leaks currently.

Put one of those cheap testing gauges on it to see if you are indeed low on refrigerant . If your low you have a leak regardless if you can't see one .

Does AutoZone rent the gauges? I found some at Harbor Freight but they're $55.

I'm talking about the gauge you get when you buy a can of refrigerant at the auto parts store . They will be less than $55.00 . Better yet ask a friend or neighbor if they have one to loan you .
