I'm needing some assistance. I recently purchased a 08 Pontiac G6 from a coworker of mine. Problem is, its a value leader and didn't come with cruise control.

I found online a Rostra Cruise Control kit and picked it up. http://www.redlinemotive.com/part-number/rostra/250-1775.asp

It mentions in the installation documentation to connect Red harness wire to "Accessory 12 Volt" and Blue Harness wire to an "Accessory Power Source".

I understand what the "Accessory 12 Volt" is but what is an "Accessory Power Source"???

I found a how-to from an owner of a G5 who installed same kit and in his he references that he combined the 2 wires and just wired it to a single 12 volt source, in his case the ignition 12-volt. (source http://www.g5club.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1245) Are the 2 the same? Only difference in a G5 is you have to have it dealer enabled where as with G6 you don't.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Once i figure it, I'll most likely post how-to images with instructions.

i think one is a constant 12v to the battery and the other is ran from the key switch.

Here is a reply from tech support at Rostra. Going to attempt to install this weekend and will snap pictures.

Dear Sir connect the blue and the red to ignition power and yes you can run them to the same circuit.

Cruise How-To?

intell, any chance of you posting how to? Just purchased my second G6 for my daughter (also a value leader). She took her first 7 hour driving solo to NC and is begging for cruise.

I'm shocked on the response i've gotten on this. I'm going to try my best to get the how to document completed for everyone. Please be patient. So many projects and being fall doesn't help. I promise i will come through! The aftermarket cruise control DOES work though!
