Hey Guys and Girls,

My name is Ashley and I am from West Akron Area and Drive a 2006 G6 gtp 3.9L V6 with a six speed manual! I was wondering if anyone else was from the area. I'm originally from the Youngstown area!

Also I was thinking maybe we could actually get a group of G6's to go to the Pontiac Nationals in Norwalk,Ohio this year! It is the 20th Year and my third year going! I have only seen one G6 there in those three years! You can enter in the show, race, or just come support the best brand ever! It's in early August the 5th, 6th, and 7th I believe. There is camping available or hotels near the track! maybe we can all meet up or what not I'm also trying to get another forum i belong to to come which is grandprixforums.net because we also own a 2001 Grand Prix GTP!

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK OR IF YOU LIVE IN THE AREA, I JUST BOUGHT MY G6 IN AUGUST AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW SOME OTHERS IN THE AREA!!!!

I live in western PA, about 45 mins from Y-town, so I would be interested in making the drive with my 06 GTP.

thats great I'm happy to see some response! whats the background on your cars, mods, miles, etc. has anyone raced yet? any problems with mods? I see two of you are manual like me, do you get a lot of confused looks when talking about it! Everytime I tell someone what I have they look at me like I don't know what I'm talking about, IDK maybe it's cause I'm a girl! Keep in touch and I look forward to seeing you guys in August! keep this going so we can plan to meet up somewhere there!

I have a 2007 loaded GT in white with a 6-speed. I never really get any comments as to people being surprised that its a stick, but then again there aren't to many people out here that know about my car, seeing as how i just bought it last November.

Major mods are JL Audio subwoofers and double din dvd head unit, HID 6000k lows and fogs, putco performance halogen highs, pontiac windshield decal, red underglow, and engine cover painted. There is some other stuff in there but I won't go into details

. Before the meet in august it will have an ECM tune, K&N cold air intake, Cat back exhaust, MMI's and STB's on it. btw, new tire going on friday. Bridgestone potenzas.

that's great..... will you be racing at the nationals?

I doubt it, I looked at the website and there are some good cars there, nothing like the G6 lol....I may consider showing tho.

Well still, I don't think this car would be worth racing. Although I did beat an 04 Impala SS yesterday. The supercharged one lol

i don't want to hijack your thread but i was thinking that maybe it might be better to have something at http://www.midohio.com/ because if we go on the open track days we can run our G6's or maybe take a defensive driving class and maybe get some people from MI,IN,KY,PA,WV

best way to learn defensive driving in to be an offensive driver!!! jk I'm out on the midohio thing but anyone else who wants to go more power to you! i will be going to the nationals to support that brand responisble for our cars, I'm more of a drag strip person. but thats a great idea, keep us posted on how that goes!!!

no its fine, i just won't be able to make it to that, but i encourage everyone who can to attend!

Me, Born and raised in warren OH. I moved to CA a few years back so it's quite a drive for me now.
I don't hear much about Y-town, thanks for sparking the memories.

HAHA! My parents are still in Warren, They say the snow/cold is really bad this year! I feel sorry for all the folks affected by all that mess!

It is nice here, 60 feels cold to me now! brr... I remember walking to school when it was below 0.

I hope it warms up for you soon!
