dear buddy....
your trying to turn your family sedan into a race car.... if your gonna put money into a car atleast get one with more potential. you have well over $1000 into it which is worth nothing unless you....

1. buy a new motor when yours takes a dump on ya
or....
2. buy another malibu so you can take off all your parts and put them on your new car

its not like your car will last forever.
a 350Z with only a CAI will blow the doors off your car, and used both cars are around the same price.
this is why im scaping my G6 and getting a scion TC which has huge aftermarket suppore and a..... (drumroll) TURBO KIT!!!.
the point of this thread is for any one wanting to mod there G6, just want them to know there gonna be stuck with a car they cant get rid of if they take it to far. and one day when everything starts breaking like (power windows, steering pump, gauges, ect..) your gonna want a new car and you wont have a good trade in...

WoW!!! I just went back and read this agian and mjmachado must think we are all idiots. You act like we are all getting rid of our cars and we know nothing about modding our cars. No one ever said they were building race cars. As I said before I am keeping the Malibu. LoL... Not much of a upgrade going to a Scion TC. And thank you I didnt know I had a sedan. this is my point, anyone that comes on here thinking about moding there car should here both sides of the story, this is what happens when you mod your car... and this is what happens if you don't...
i modded my car just like all of you know i wish to get a new car cause im sick of this one but it's not worth %#[email protected] at a dealership and i paid around 20,000 for it now im lucky to get 2000 for it.
is my point made or are you people still gonna be ignorant and act like your all keeping you G6's until you die?

Why do you care so much weather or not we keep our cars? Get rid of your 6 and get a Scion already. No one is going to listen to you anyway. We dont need someone telling us what we need to with our vehicles. Good luck with your next POS... BTW this isnt always what happens when you modd a car. Its parts and user error... I.E. you...

you are right that there are 2 sides to the story. however you seem to be confused on what they are. Mod your car properly, dont take short cuts, and dont buy the cheapest thing you can and you wont have a problem. once you start cutting corners, cheaping out or just doing things wrong, you are going to have a problem.

when you do performance mods, its best to have your car tuned to run at its best with the new mods. it will run better and thats less chance of things going wrong

most people arent going to keep a car until they die, however modding is a hobby just like playing an instrument or playing sports is. its something you do for fun, no matter what other people think.

people respect other peoples opinions, but you dont call people idiots because they dont agree with your opinions.

no sure what the point of joining this site was, if all your going to do is bash our car, a car that you own.

But have fun with the tc. if you cant do small mods like an exhaust and intake properly, good luck with the turbo setup. btw just because a car doesnt have a turbo kit, doesnt mean you cant turbo a car. Hell, if i wanted to i could turbo my G6.

Hopefully you get that tc soon, thats less time we have to spend listening to you force your opinions on us
