Was looking at the exhaust tips today. Found out that they're actually chrome. Previous owners took so little care of it that they were pure black. Got most of it clean but there's still some baked on black spots I can't get off for the life of me. Any suggestions?

How about some pics for a better idea...
Napa sells an aluminum brightener (acid in a bottle) you can try that. I've seen it do some pretty amazing work on chrome. But can't know for sure if it'll take care of the spots.
Unless they are weld spots... in which case have fun removing those!

Wow I completly forgot to get the pics. Sorry guys. As soon as it gets warm and I can clean it up a little I'll get a picture. They definatly aren't welding spots though.
