While cleaning the inside of my windshield with glass cleaner, I ended up breaking the rearview mirror with my elbow. After further inspection, I broke one of the two tabs that slide onto the metal bracket on the windshield. I've tried various epoxies to no use. To adhere the mirror, I would need something that bonds metal to plastic.

GM poorly did the design of this mirror since it is held onto the metal by two thin tabs of plastic. Makes me want to go to the dealer and complain, but all I know is that they will charge me for a new one.

Should I just buy a new one on eBay (or possibly someone here has a spare) or is there a way to permanantly bind the mirror?
