I forgot to ask or notice if there is a cabin air filter in the G6...is there one? I have one in my Focus and it keeps it clean for long periods of time whereas before I installed it, it sucked. I'm sure it'll do the same with the G6. If it uses one, where is it accessible?

Crap...I've never known a GM car to have a cabin filter...can you think of one? At least GM is getting around to putting a manual recirc button on their climate controls so I can block the outside air when it's stinky or dusty...

It wasn't in my 00 Sonoma or my 02 Sunfire (I was given the car, so don't start :p ). The only way to get recirc on those cars was to have the air on "max". At least there's a button now (that's all I was saying...at least there is a button on the lower end cars whereas before it seemed they were only on high-end cars).

If we can find a GM product that uses the same HVAC unit but has the CAF, it should be possible to retrofit it...but I think the G6's HVAC was specially designed for this car...

Those things are huge - the G6 one isn't even the same as Malibu
Yeah, I'm away that they are huge...just thinking if there wasn't an access point on one and there was on another, it could be retrofitted...theoretically.
Speaking of them being big...I remember seeing a picture of some car with an HVAC unit removed and they were trying to smuggle a little girl in the country...I'll see if I can find the pic.
