Have an 07 vert with 3.9 auto stick---car rolls back on a hill in drive. Is this normal for this car?

Im pretty sure it is mine does i usually hold the brake on the hill with the left and gas with right at the same time. so i dont hit someone behing me. I never tested to see how far it will roll i thought it was just a little play.

I have a 3.5 does the same thing, the idle is just set low. Im sure you could raise that idle. how exactly, im not too sure
