Hello,
I have a Pontiac G6 GT. If I am at a light full stop give the car gas on the take off the battery, and traction control lights will come on. I have taken the car to GM and they replaced the sensor that controlled the oil pressure in the car. They thought that was it. By the time I hit the major highway to take it it was doing it again I sat on I-4 for an hour and started but the battery light stayed on. I took it into another auto shop. And they also put it on a diagnostic test. They showed it to me it said Crank Shaft sensor so they replace that. The mechanic test drove the car he start he drove it on the high and in the city with no issues. I get in drive it to work. No issues. Go across the street to get gas it stalls out. Would start again. The battery is 2 months old. If the car sits for 30 minutes it will start and drive with no issues until the next time. The check engine light stays on.

The only time I have had the traction control stuff come on is when there is a voltage drop, mine was caused by broken/bad wiring around the throttle body that got crushed by someone putting the engine cover back on incorrectly.

If the check engine light is on, it will likely be worth using an OBD II scan tool to get the DTC codes and posting them. Some of the auto stores will do this for free. The codes will give hints to what the engine control module is sensing. If it were mine, I would ignore the traction control light for now. This will often illuminate if the engine or transmission control modules are sensing a problem. The battery light is often indicative of a charging problem (alternator or wiring) rather than the battery itself, especially as you have replaced it. If you have access to a multimeter you can check the voltages for yourself (around 12v or less when the engine is off and more like 13v and above if the engine is running). I would also double check the grounds as these have been known to rot on the G6. Make sure the connectors are clean and tight on the battery terminals. It may also be worth wiggleing the wires with the engine running to see if you get any stalls or RPM drops.

Hope some of this helps and is not too much in one go. Good luck getting it sorted.
