I have a 2007 g6 3.5 sedan and it failed inspection because when i turn the key to the on position, the check engine light doesn't come on. Could it be the bulb is out or a fuse is blown? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Ill have to look to see if mine comes on....I dont think it cycles through all
the lights...but it may. I just may have not been paying attention the last
5 years! lol

Alright thanks... That's at least what the mechanic told me is that it should light up when you turn the key to the on position.

I paid attention tonight when leaving the house and saw that the MIL came on for about one second after I turned the key to the Run position.

Light not working aside, it looks like you have some problems that need to be fixed. I've noted a lot of people complaining about problems with their evaporative canister, looks like you might be yet another victim.
