These two codes come up on my 20074-cyl G6 4-door: P0010 & P0011. I had it checked at two places; the first only found the P0011. In addition I am getting an occasional GAS CAP LOOSE, and a frequent "TRACTION SERVICE" showing both as the "TC" indicator, with the full words spelled out on the DIC.

Can anyone advise what's involved in fixing this and possible causes?

Thanks.

P0010 & P0011:

Usually replacing the intake camshaft position (CMP) actuator solenoid solves this. Covered under powertrain warranty. Otherwise, a pretty simple part to replace on that engine. There are several threads on this already in the forum. Solve this issue first & then see if that clears up at least some of the other issues.

Thanks Greenman. You were right on. Both solenoid coil resistances were out of range -- one too low, one too high. Replacing them turns off the CEL and the "Service Traction" indication on the DIC. Too bad my car had gone out of warranty last October, so had to pay a few hundred $. But all in all, I'm very happy with the car. Thanks for your advice :)
