I notices the Red backlighting on my climate controls is fading to a pinkish color and looks like eventually it will be white. This is not from excessive use like wear or anything and the rest of the gauges are fine. I am thinking of sending it to dealer to get the whole climate cluster replaced but I am worried if it is worth having a tech take apart the whole dash just for that. I am worried it will sqeek and rattle and never be the same after those hacks get at it.
Any ideas? or anyone with the same issue?

The climate control lights look different from the rest of the lighting because they are lit by traditional incandescent bulbs (cheap way to do it). The rest of the lighting: gauge cluster, radio, and small switches are LED lit. My HVAC lights have appeared more of an orange color (rather than red) since day one. Not really anything you can do about it.
