Hello all,

I have a 2006 GTP coupe with 50k miles on it, and recently it started making a clunking noise in the front end mainly when I am first letting the clutch out, like 2 or 3 clunks as well as when I am shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear, sometimes even into 4th. It can happen in any gear when I step on the throttle and abruptly let off. I don't feel it has to do with the steering as the other posts indicate because it happens regardless of whether I have the wheel straight or turned. My boyfriend said it sounds like it could be the motor mounts. Has anyone heard a similar noise under similar circumstances?

My warranty is up in like 3 weeks, so I am hoping this is something that will be covered! I appreciate your input!

Thanks,

Sarah

Thank you for your input. It was a bolt on a motor mount that needed to be replaced, quick/cheap fix thankfully!
