On my 2009 G6 there is a single clunk on the front left when the brake pedal is pressed and when I release the pedal and accelerate there is another clunk. It has a new control arm on that side and new outer tie rod ends. I do not hear any clunking when going over pot holes and nothing when I turn the steering wheel. I looked for loose bolts but didn’t find any. The tie rod end link is tight. Front end feels good but that clunking is had to find! What could it be? What should I check next? Thanks

I thought a bad axle would make a noise when it rotates! So they could make the clunking noise?

So by jacking it up as you said and rotating the wheel the trans axle will have a little play but I’m assuming that if the axle is bad that I should hear the Clunking right? I’ll try that! Thanks
