have seen a lot of guys having their intake done, and mostly going for CRAB.
regardless of the price, which one provide the most performance boost?
---
here's some official numbers
INJEN claims to increase 9.1HP 9.7TQ
K&N: 5.2HP+, torque increase not given
CRAB: no figures found yet
---
does any one with CRAB can tell me how the performance increase is?
i know this is a tricky question cuz nobody is likely to experience more than one type of intake upgrade....anyway, hopefully there's some answer.

eBay N-Take if you are a bargin hunter.
CRAB if you want product support and a guaranteed solid build.

A number of members have the eBay piping, but most go with CRAB's piping because it is better built. I have the eBay piping with the CRAB Cold Air Box and AEM filter and recommend it.

im not much of a bargain hunter, but i do care about numbers. thats why so far i tend to like injen more right now.
for the sound part, i DO NOT wanna sound like crazy mexican civics. i know crab sound good as so many are using. what about injen, any one tried that?

Theres a couple people around with Injens... I went with the K&N Typhoon but was realy dissapointed with the heat sheild or lack of. either way i was kicking myself in the ass for not going Crabs. but then i bought the Crabs heatshield and im happy for now. might buy myself a chrome FPU in the future.

All the piping is going to sound the same. There is still no proof that the piping even makes a performance difference, although many will attest that they "can feel and hear it." There will be some benefit, but comparing fictuous numbers is a waste of time. Everyone here will tell you CRABs if you have the money, eBay N-Take if not.

If you are looking for performance, get a PCM tune. You get more HP per dollar.

The vast majority of the performance benefit is from the drop in filter and heat shield made by CRABs. You could even run off the stock piping if you wish. Many other choose that route as well. K&N shield doesn't fit right and has poor customer support. INJEN has little customer support and the piping is designed wrong.

K&N does make some AWESOME filters.
The intake pipe on the Typhoon is also a pretty good one.
I believe the heatshield they offer for the G6 line comes from their F150 line.
It can rub, bang around, stretch your MAF wires and it doesnt fit very well at all.

Overall though its a good intake.

You mentioned Injen....I would stay away fro that one. Their pipe is smaller than your TBI so its a performance hit right off the bat.

= Stay away.

Ebay intake....There are a couple people who have successfully used it. Cant beat that price. Not very pretty though and lots of people who had CEL's with it.

Use caution.

Crabs....well now who in the world wants crabs??? Cold Ram Air Box....
can also be used with the MPD ram air hood to give your G6 ram air.
Best heatshield made. Killer polished true 3" mandrel intake system.
But who wants to itch??

I love mine, LOLOLOL

No matter who you choose its gotta be better than the stock restricted, pinched & indented of a wheezebox of an intake that it comes with.
