I waited and fumed but this week I got and installed my cold air intake system and am basically more than satisfied.
It certainly does improve performance (I also have a cat-back exhuast sytem) and sounds nice too at WOT.
I got the system through RSM Racing and it goes on easily though there were six teething problems that made me glad my nephew is a mechanic and need to be corrected in future models.
The problem is that all the threads I ever read went on about the nightmares experienced in getting the air intake resonator out before intallation of the new system. There was absolutely no reason to remove it;doesn't intefere with the installation and working of the new system at all.
Could someone please explain to me what went wrong or right as the case may be. I am definitely interested.

I removed mine before I got an intake, just so the stock one was louder. If you're looking for weight savings it's good to remove to, since it's not very light.
