Injen doesnt address the hot air with the short ram...unless you put it in the quarter.
If you do that then you would be extending your intake tube by 2 more feet.
That means your air is in the tube for longer and has more time to heat up.
You also have to take your headlight off just to check your filter.
Im not sure if you have played with headlight removal but it isnt fun and it aint easy...
not if you dont want to scratch up your bumper.
The injen's I have seen were 2.7" and not a true 3" so you would actually be
contricting your air. I think the new ones are 3" though....?
The K&N Typhoon will stretch your MAF wires and the heat shield was not made for our
cars. It is one taken from what looks like their F-150 line. The shield will beat around
in your well as its not secured.
I wouldnt go either myself.
I do, however, use K&N filters.
For an oil filter I think they are one of the best.
I just dont think you should replace your black plastic
intake tube with a black plastic intake tube. yuck.
If you want to go that route there is a vendor on here who gives periodic sales
and free shipping at times.
Whatever you decide just stay away from the cheapo ones off eBay.
