Hi, my car's top will not secure. It started happening when we replaced the trunk struts, I tried switching them back to the original. Our trunk is "lopsided" currently being more upon the passenger. The top will not secure however it is definitely a problem with the trunk locking because it will finish putting the top up and put the trunk down and start humming for 5 seconds then the radio will say "Top not secure" I've checked the fuses. The trunk button will not work so if we need in the trunk we have to use a bar to pull the emergency release in the trunk.
Any ideas?

Hello Mark,
what a picture wouldn’t do for us here! I will step out onto the plank and respectfully disagree about the trunk struts and their impact on the operation of the roof. G6convertguy says that the trunk is “lopsided”. How did the trunk become lopsided ? Perhaps the struts are different in strength, or the dimensional specs are not within tolerences of the manufacturer specs. maybe something is bent or gets bent during removal or installation. [note that bent parts are not normal].
So to say the trunk struts have “no“ impact seems premature to me. Hopefully we can convince G6 guy to post a picture or three.
Tomorrow I’ll take a couple pics.
