The FPU removes the stock 90 TBI pinch and the indents on the pipe for things like the dipstick, etc. It replaces it with a true mandrel bent 3" pipe. This frees up 24% more air to the intake. It has been reported that there is an increase in your lower end but I can tell you more easier air to breath = good stuff.

I have it on good authority that the FPU's are back in stock. ;)

But ask the people that have em.....I also recently noticed they have a testimonial page on their website. That looks cool!

Its an upgrade...you can always try an option 3 then add the other later if you like it....

The only problem is.....I heard.....the FPU has free shipping when purchased in conjunction with the intake. ;)

If your thinking about getting Crabs, think no more and just BUY!! Best investment into my car so far. Just make sure he sends you the shampoo and little comb in case you ever want to get rid of them!

option 3 would be the heat shield and the filter, you would use your current pipe that came stock. the FPU upgrade is in addition to option 3 and that gives you the new pipe

Stupid q

Total noob here, first post.
I've wanted the CRAB for a while on my 07 G6 GT coupe, but I am nervous about the effects it may have on my cars durability. Can someone speak to the danger of driving in heavy rain with the crab, or something such as snow? I live in the northeast, so Im afraid this may be an issue. Also, would the crab void by GM Warranty?

EASY! You're fine. :D done. I had CRABs and I also have functional hood scoops and I have driven in rain (Heavy Rain) without an issue. If you are worried I'm pretty sure you can get a pre filter that protects against rain. Same with snow, no problems.

No it will not void the warranty since it's a K&N Filter.

Just wondering if removing the intake res without having crabs have any added benefits or would it cause problems? Just trying to increase airflow while I save up for my crabs
