Hello recently my g6 has been taking 5-10 seconds to shift into drive (1st) after moving the shifter into drive, it doesn't shift late with any other gears.


What could this be from?

I've recently checked and topped off my transmission fluid & i'm having it taken into ti get the recalled shifter cable replaced soon.

The shifter or fluid level would have been my initial guesses. Sounds like you have those covered. If the problem persists and you know someone with an advanced scan tool there may be transmission control module diagnostic codes that would give you more of a hint.
