i never changed them... and havnt had any problems.
You don't have to right away, but it will put accelerated wear on the struts from having additional travel. For the Scion tC i had it was common to put TRD lowering springs on and ride till they were shot if you wanted to save money(springs but no money for new shocks/struts).

Typically shocks/struts are good for 50-70k under decent conditions. You might have to replace em 10-15k earlier or not pending on where you live.

alright thanks....i was about to buy some springs then my friend was like "u need to buy struts too" ill eventually buy them but i dont have the money right now...cuz my G6 is in the shop getting a new engine......thanks
New engine??? Whats up with that? As for struts with your lowering springs, you may want to replace them depending on how many miles you have on them or if you see any signs of them leaking oil. Also you will have to take the old springs off the oe struts to put the lowering springs on, so the struts will be in your hand so if you wanted to save on future labor you would do it at the same time.
