I have a 2007 G6 base sedan with the 2.4 L 4 cylinder. I bought the car with no key fobs and wanted to purchase a fob for the car, which i can program to my car. I would like to get a fob with remote start, but i don’t know if i can program a remote start fob to mine. If anyone has done this or knows anything please let me know.

If you have remote start there is an option to turn it on / off in the driver information center. On the RPO sticker in the glove box you would have AP3, I believe, if remote start is installed. There is also a mention of AP8. If you search for threads with those RPO codes you should find additional info.

Thank you, that’s what i’ve heard from others. I know that a key fob would work and program so i am guessing if the fob comes with a trunk and alarm button hopefully the remote start could. I think i read something about being able to turn the AP3 or AP8 on in the menu display of the gauges.
