Hi Guys,

I read this in my owner's manual, but I couldn't fold my mirrors. I didn't want to force them because I'm afraid of breaking them. They start moving with just a little force but then I get resistance . Should I force??

Thanks.

I know they fold forwards (towards the front of the car), like if you back up and the sideview mirror hits a pole it'll fold forward. Found that out as the car wash brushes were beating the sh-- out of the mirrors.

I do not know if they fold towards the rear. I think the feature is only there so you don't take off your sideview mirrors, not because you just want to fold them in.

So I wouldn't try to force them to fold, you might accidentally break them. Just curious why do you want to fold them? Just to see if they do?

I do that when I parallel park on the street or when I need to manouver in tight spots (e.g. parking in the corner between two cars)... often times in parking garages, the corners are huge but they're blocked by two perpendicular cars, so to get in, I fold my mirrors (on my BMW they power-fold) and sneak it in there!
