front bumper alignment

it seems to be out of line...the left side of my front bumper isn't aligned correctly...the side panel is out by about 1/8 in or less...it is causing part of the plastic to come over the inner corner of the headlight...if anybody knows how i can shimmy this back into place, throw some lines my way

that's so weird cuz I just started noticing the exact same thing on my 08 g6 gt. I thought it may just be manufacturing issues.
i'm just hoping there is something i can do, because if i take it to the dealer, it's definitely not going to be covered by warranty...if it was there from the beginning, then i just overlooked it, but i don't remember this being the case

I have the same exact problem and i'm bringing the car into the dealer on tuesday for that as well as something like 15 other issues....I'll let ya'll know what they say
Both the front and back bumper covers are attached very flimsily on the G6. Misaligned bumpers are quite common on the G6 because it doesn't make much force to knock them out of alignment. Most of the attachment points to the car's frame are plastic and only a few are metal.
Sorry to bring back an old one, but this is the only thread I found similar to my problem. Has anyone else figured out a solution to this problem? I took off my bumper yesterday to see if i could just put it back on and it would work but it didnt. The driver side part of the bumper has a gap and part of it is covering the point of the driverside headlight by the grill
It takes two people to get it aligned correctly. I know when I was putting my new bumper on, I had this problem. Keep your headlights on and try to put it on. Just fiddle with it.

My dad and I tried but it still has a gap :(. I guess I can see how much the local body shop will charge me for them to try it
the only way i found to fix it was to elongate the mounting hole in the headlight closest to the center of the bumper so that you can push the headlight out more
One of my headlights does the same thing. Think I'll try that next time I have it out.
I modded the headlight on my fiance's gt when we bought her car the headlight was behind the bumper and it drove me insane. I slotted the inside hole some and was able to adjust the headlight to sit correctly. So far it seems like 50% of the G6's I see end up having this issue.
I will have to try that today. It's been driving me crazy too. I tried to get the dealership to fix It before I bought it, but that didn't work very well lol.

I don't know what happens that they all of a sudden don't line up like they're supposed to.
Me either. Most G6's i've seen all look the same with one headlight behind the bumper. I had always thought it was because of an accident. Because when I had my Grand AM I backed into my aunts G6 and that's what pushed her headlight behind the bumper. And I've never been able to fix it for her. The carfax on my car also said it was in an accident and that's why I wanted the dealer to fix my gap, but they used the "were losing money on this deal" excuse with me
