This seems really strange. I have never gotten really good fuel mileage. It nrmally says on the display 25 or 24. I don't normally run it hard. I bought it in September. Then over the winter I put a cold air intake. I didn't drive it much in the winter and could not tell much difference. It is louder and I like that.
Now that it has warmed up, my MPG has went up a lot. My display now is setting at 32 MPG, about 5 more than it used to. Is it the summer fuel is that much better, the cold air intake makes false readings in cold weather making it too rich, or something else. 5 MPG is a big difference.

I avg. 30+mpg pretty much all summer but as soon as it starts getting cold out my mpg drops down to 27-28. As soon as it starts warming up again in the spring it shoots right back up to 30+. From what I can tell any temp under 60 degrees is where it starts going down.

Every vehicle I've owned (1993 Saturn SC2, 2000 GrandAm SE 3400, 1996 Jeep with the six shooter) is the same way, not with 30+ mpg, but it'd be nice if my Jeep did that *wishful thinking*

My display said, before CAI 21 mpg and now with just removing the stock filter and installing the K&N cone filter it says 23mpg. I'm hesitant in putting the long ram CAI. I'm happy with the stock pipe. some aftermarket kits leave one end loose or dangling in the air. I think I rather keep the stock air tunnel to the engin than install the whole kit. But, the increase of 2 miles per gallon is great...I drive alot.

I see this thread is getting a little old but I'd like to see some inventive ways to raise the G6GTs (and the Mazda6) mileage w/o major mods. Anyone out there have ideas? So far she gets 32 MPG on the hwy.

I have the 3.5 base and average about 29 in mixed driving and got a whopping 36 on a road trip through the Appalachian mountains. Thought about a CAI, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Suppose I'm just saving that money for the next time I have to replace a part of the drive train.
