Future Supercharger/Turbo

8174 Views 26 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  geewhiz
I've been looking and it looks like the only turbo option is a universal kit, or maybe the rsm supercharger. Are there any other options or any that are supposed to be coming out sometime soon? For tuning I have HP Tuners which I've had experience using with another car, I just need to find a good kit. Thanks for any info.

I hope that is VERY tongue in cheek.
That looks like the fan that blows air towards me on my desk... oh wait I don't have a fan. :p
easy to install in 15 minutes without cutting or mods.
install it between air filter and intake tube and plug it easely on 12volts of your car.

NO risk for your engine. that's 100% SAFE and SECURE!

can be install on air intake too.

this electric turbo supercharger will send more air to the combustion chamber and will help to burn more effectively and add HP!

covered by a 3 years warranty!
It plugs easely, it can be install on air intake, it's covered by a 3 years warranty...what's not to like ?
really? you think one of those will actually work? if you read the picture, there's the loophole right there. "adds UP TO 35 hp"...which means it doesn't add up to 35 hp. it might add .05 hp and they can still legally sell it without it being false advertisement.

no 12v electric fan is going to be able to push enough air to make any significant boost.(lol i typed boobs, first  )...actually, i take that back. buy it and install it...then take it to the dyno. i want to see the actual numbers it makes...
Its possible that it could make a big difference, But I would have to see the air pressure on a gauge coming out of it to decide. Just think, A dremel motor can turn 30,000 RPM...
even if it pounded tons of air into the intake... then what, are you gonna hire a midget to squirt more gas in as well or would you just let it burn down.

Im new here... and i'm rather new to the G6, and i don't wanna be "that guy" on the forums that needs to be told what 0-373 people have already been told, but why have these cars failed so badly with boost?

valid reasons...
1. FWD? No... not a good reason
2. money? No... i've seen plenty of shit box cars with extensive work done... someone has enough money. my old car was an alero and they have a worse aftermarket gauranteed. there was more than a few with very successful boosted applications. FWD on budgets.
3. Aftermarket support? No. read previous sentence.
4. Weak drivetrain? there should be some adaptable "higher performance" parts available from GTP's no?

I fail at comprehending why it hasn't been done. I do comprehend that it's not practical. but neither is the majority of everything else done to vehicles now days. you guys should try talking people into doing it... rather than out.

Our cars aren't exactely made for performance. It is just a Malibu in Pontiac clothing. The cars are made really to be a family car.

We do work for a living and I have other things I would like to spend my money on like:

rent,
food,
cheap women, (just kidding honey)
gas,
heat,

get my drift?

Bottom line is, yes we're pretty sure it can be done, but we don't want to dump thousands of dollars that we really don't have.

It would be realistically $6,000-$8,000 depending on set up and how much you can do yourself. With that kind of money I could pay off my car.

You should just give up and hose clamp one of these to the intake.
Hey, this thing can dub as a block warmer too.
