i dont think 14.3 is all that accurate. no offense intended there. because the fastest NA 3.6 vvt is running 14.20. but thats close. its probably 14.5 14.6ish?

eh not sure on that the highest ran in a tune is 93 octane. and dont get overexcited. there is not much out there for these cars unless you plan on dumping a ton of money in them like me and a few others. but they wont run all that great. there is only one that made it out of 14s and it ran a 13.86 and it was on spray.

making it a higher grade!.. duh.. lets see what happens when you add 94+100 and then divide by two?.. whats your average?.. not 94... hmmm?.. thats wierd.. must mean my octane level would average out higher too???.. duh..

"spray 3.5L auto LOL and he said he got rid of it before he could tune it better. Aka before the transmission needed to be replaced."
mines a 3.6... and im not looking really to add anymore power just want a baseline for all the trash talkers around here with fart-can rice rockets

going with higher octane fuel will be a waste unless the PCM has been tuned to take advantage of it. I would simply put some pump premium in there if its a hot day at the track. That might help the PCM keep from retarding the timing too much under hot conditions.

Yea as far as I'm aware you can't just buy the kit. You would have to get each part one by one and piece it all together. As waterfowler said... P Magic is the one to talk to and it will cost a nice chunk of change.

not to mention every GXP part you buy for your car which is NOT a GXP is one less part we have available to fix our cars with.....my GXP had been hit in parking lots a number of times, and it seems that GXPs are always the magnets for the idiot drivers in the world to crash into :( we already have no more front bumpers for our car available, all of GMs stock has been used up, only place now is off a wreck GXP to get a front bumper......

if you want your car to look like a GXP then buy a damn GXP......itll cost you less to trade your car for a GXP than for you to put GXP part on your car.....plus then youd have leather seats, automatic climate, the best V6 GM makes and a 6spd auto,a LOT faster car.

JUST the entire front bumper, grilles, fogs ETC cost around $3-4K the side skirts would run you around $1800, the hood around 700 spoiler 6-700 the cheapest part the rear bumper $400........and none of those prices include paint or instalation which would likely run around $2500 more for that

There a companies out there beginning to make bumpers and panels that are certified to fit like OEM parts. Maybe worth looking into.

they make aftermarket body parts for every other G6, no one but GM has made GXP parts and the companies that do make the other G6 part say there not going to make GXP parts because there isnt a big enough market because there were so few GXPs made compaired to every other G6

Didn't consider that, makes sense though, hopefully someday someone will reproduce em. I'd hate to imagine what happens when there are just so few G6 GXPs in one piece. But at least it'll increase how rare they are.

Or, just buy a 2008-2012 3.6L Malibu and have a better looking car with the same performance specs :) There are a bit more of those on the road.

malibu looks better than a 2dr GXP?? i dont think so lol, and it weighs almost 500lbs more than my car, is a lot slower and why would i want a family sedan that everone and their grandma has? lol no thanks but u can keep ur malibu.....not saying i wouldnt have one for a DD so i didnt have to DD either of my GXPs but i would not have a malibu for a toy or project car lolz

Wow man you sure are showing your age. First off, I have nothing agianst G6's I own one. Now, all the data ive seen there is only 163 lb difference. Way faster? They have the exact same motor and trans. And guess what, 99% of people consider a g6 an entry level family car also. Just adding ridiculously huge and ugly grilles and a wing way too large doesn't make it a different car. The fact that you are "modding" an entry level DD is quite funny. Some day you will realize its much easier and cheaper to obtain better numbers with a car built for speed, like a camaro or G8.

The Malibu is much more refined and engineered. The cabin is much quieter due to better insulated glass, which is part of what adds to the extra weight. It also rides a lot nicer. Yes, there are a lot of malibus on the road, but most are the 4cyl. There are a lot less 3.6L.

your car according to GMs numbers weight 3600+ the gxp coupe stock weighs 3415 and my car weighs 3200 even on a set of scales with a full tank, the stock 1/4 mile time listed for the 3.6 malibu is 15.3 at 92 most gxp owners stock are running around 14.3-14.5 at 98-99mph 0-60 G6 GXP-5.9sec 0-60 for the 3.6 malibu is 6.6..... just about every malibu i see is a 3.6lol

i wouldnt buy a G8 its a 4dr car, wouldnt buy a camaro either they arent anything special now that everyone has one...... just wait till im finished with my Red GXP, i am makeing it RWD and 6 spd manual and building a 500Hp+/- 3.6 naturally aspirated to power it.......if i only wanted to go fast i wouldnt have bought a G6 i bought my GXP because i like how it looks, and theres a LOT of potential out there with the 3.6 if you know how to do it, theres drag cars down in australia running 10's powerd by NA 3.6s ill have a one of a kind car that i built myself that looks good and is pretty damn fast too........

in your sense then a G8 is only an entry levely luxury family car too that wound be worthy of modding because "its just an every day car"
