Does anyone know where I can get a G6 hardtop convertible trunk release switch GM # 10364426 or AC Delco # D1490F ? I would consider a used one at this point but would prefer to try and find a new one. It is apparently now discontinued, but was hoping to find a NOS one or a GM dealer who still has one in their parts department. I am also wondering if the aftermarket has picked up on it or if there is an automotive electrical shop that could repair one or make up something that would work to replace it with. I am open to suggestions. I have tried looking at GM online parts sources, ebay, amazon and google, with no success. Thank you.

You may not find your part listed in eBay, etc.
Do this: look for something else on eBay that a convertible has. Dig in the ad for a phone # and call. 'you still have that car? I need (blank). Salvage yard is a business. If your request is reasonable, most of the time it's a quick negotiation, PayPal and done.

Thank you for the replies. I did already check LKQ and a lot of other auto wreckers along with several online used auto parts search engines. They will only sell the complete convertible rear hinge assembly either with or without the hydraulic cylinders which is quite expensive. I found the same thing on ebay, the complete rear hige assembly that does have that switch but no quarantee the switch will work. I was really hoping I might find a NOS OEM switch somewhere or someone who would sell me just the rear trunk lid release switch which is a 3 way switch and has to be for a convertible. New switches did show up at a few places when seaching for OEM parts, but when checking with those sites they had no availability. This switch is only about $50.00 new, but apparanetly is now discontinued. The part numbers are GM # 10364426 and the AC Delco # D1490F.

If anyone is still looking for help with the trunk release switch this should be of help - they are available on Amazon for around $15-$20. However it's a pain to get the switch out to replace it. I spayed it with WD40 until it was soaked, and the switch worked fine after. Be sure to put some paper towels/rag under the switch to absorb the excess fluid.
