That's weird, as that recall was from March or April...so it should've already been performed. Then again, I bought mine in May and they didn't perform it then...so, take it for what it's worth.
G6 recall
They just recalled my just bought in June 09 G6 for transmission cable. The cable end may break off, no shifting then. Going in this afternoon.

Ah, shifting is overrated anyway 
my letter said 09 w/4 speed... so take that for what its worth... did the re-call in June/July bought the car in April...
It's base with sun & sound and preferred group. My build sheet mentioned the transmission cable clip check at the dealer. This is over and above that check.
They installed a split collar over the cable where the housing attaches to a bracket I assume, hard to see. It is a split collar held on with a hose clamp, kind of mickey mouse, but probably will hold.
