Hey everyone, I just wanted to post some news that some may be glad to hear and also I am looking for suggestions from you guys. As most of us know there is no aftermarket tail-lights for the sedans other than the LED which are red like stock lights. So I was just messing around in my shop and I have made a set-up and Mold process to make clear Altezza lights. My hopes are to make these and sell them to people who want the only lights around of its kind. I am an electrical engineering student and frequently love to play with LEDS as well. Now I only want to do this if the cost and profits are fair for me and you considering this is'nt the easiest process to be done. I am still in the midst of making my own and will have photos very soon. These will be stock-modified tail-lights meaning I have to start with a assembled stock light and modify it to the altezza light. This is more expensive process but also ensures the lights will fit perfect every-time. So please anyone interested let me know and Ill be more than happy to get this rolling faster if alot of you are interested. Thank you !!

UPDATE !!!! Here is my proto -light. Its finished other than I havent put the clear lense over it yet cuz im gonna paint my chrome parts black and take a pic of it too.

How much would you charge for a pair? Would I need to give you my stock lights to modify or do you buy new stock to pretty up?

Right now I haven't had time to complete these. What happened was I was on the last step to where I needed to make a clear lense. Well my vacuum form was made to fit in an oven and our tail lights are just barely too big for me to complete the the form. So I have to make my own vacuum oven to accommodate the size. If I get it back going again ill let you know. Best bet is to take tail light apart and wire a tone of LED strips inside. Go to youtube and and browse on how to do it. It would be cheap and kind of easy even for someone who is a beginner. Im actually thinking about doing my car this way.

I'd like to see a honeycomb style tint or cover as on the Trans Am. I'm sure it can be done with paint but I have no clue how to tape off a pattern like that.

I wanted to update on the tail lights. I was not successful at molding a clear lense to go over the tail light. What it is, is I built a vacuum forming bench and I used my oven to soften that lexan to be formed. Well When I formed it I found out that to do it perfect my oven isn't quit big enough so I would now need to build a bigger vacuum forming table and also figure out a way to build a oven to heat the plastic. There is a way which is you take some hvac duct venting like what comes out the top of your furnace and then you get a infrared space heater and place in the bottom and you have a way to bake the plastic. But now money time and interest has played into role. I have been trying to find some local plastic places to maybe make me the parts I need and then I would just assemble the new lights.
