your mileage is stored in the DIN computer not the gauge cluster. Buying one off ebay is perfectly alright. Remember to post pics

In other words it does not store that data....so it would be the same if you swapped it.

I thought it was the Body Control Module (BCM) and not the DIC.....well anyways ...
