Hi, this is Ray from Spyderauto. Few G6 owners have been calling me regards to new projector head light for G6, After a year later finally it came out. Proud to present Sonar new halo projector head light with LED. We did a test fit and posted up a youtube video and believe that some G6 owners have been excited about that. Finally, after the test fit, we received the first batch from the manufacture. That's why i give you guys a head up before those are out the market. I've talked to Chris (G6 owner) about doing a potential group buy for these projector. REMEMBER, THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE ADVERTISEMENT! Looking for 20 + people interested and the more people interested for sure more discount that we can give. We are looking for 249 Shipped without HID and 299 shipped with optional H1 HID kit (6k/8K). Just trying to see how many people are interested and hopefully start up a list and let me know. Hope you guys like it and after we got enough interest, we will become a group buy vendor and notice the mod/admin. Once again, thanks for viewing.

As for painted headlights & halos -

Chad does them but he isnt cheap....
http://www.unique-coatings.com

maybe we can do a group buy??
i'm interested...i'll be looking for an update!
I've seen them online but they dont come stock with the HID bulbs. For the price there worth it for the looks.
I have the spyders. They are ok. The stock headlights with HIDs put put more light. And of you wasnt headlights for the functionality then... Dont get them. Butif you live in an area where you dont have to turn on headlights theyare great!

You will have to do a bit of modifications to make them work at their fullest potential.
I think I like the look of the stock headlight painted better. I was told that the newer models' headlights are hard to get opened is that true?

07+ have a new sealant that is a PITA to take apart. If you really want to paint your headlights, its usually best to buy a replacement pair of 2006 headlights.
You will have to do a bit of modifications to make them work at their fullest potential.
What mods have to be done for the halo's to be at full potential?

I've also heard some halogen bulb aftermarket projector headlights are generally too dim for many drivers.
That the some of the aftermarket housings are prone to damage from water leaking into them.
Some of the HID bulb kits do not fit some of the aftermarket headlight housing without modifications.
That the HID bulbs can be too hot for some aftermarket housing, and can actually damage the housing.

All the modifications can be found in this thread.

Spyder Modification Thread

It is towards the last 5 or so pages if i remember correctly. Just start from page 1 and read till the end. That way you can see all angles of the discussion.

if people still interested, i will try to reopen a group buy again for a dirt cheap price for all you G6 owner.
when you first sold them you offered an option to get them unsealed so that
we could paint the bezels. is that still an option??
I 'm interested if there is a group buy possibly happening
helloooooooo.....and the audience sees Ray disappear.
*tumbleweed*
Bueller.....Bueller......Buelller.....Anyone....
Classic!
I remember this, and I remember the roast these lights got on the G6P site. Well for a dirt cheap price I may revisit the idea. but alas nothing but the sound of crickets in this thread...:bolt:
