Heard about new recalls on the radio yesterday, one for Toyota for oil hoses, one for Gm for "power steering issues".
I actually had myself convinced for a few hours that GM was going to own up to their screw up and fix our steering issue, until I read this:

I have to say, I'm pretty peeved about this one. They'll fix the other cars, but not ours? I mean really...

I was wondering the same thing. Seems strange that they exclude the G6.

I'm on the phone with GM Customer Contact right now, and have advised them that I've experienced the power steering issue. Even though the G6 isn't included in the recall, they're going to talk to a dealership and try to get mine covered in the recall.

The company that makes the power steering units in question are made by a Japanese company that is owned by Toyota. I just thought that it was interesting that this issue goes back to Toyota.

I agree, but regardless of who made the part, someone needs to step up and take responsibility.
Is GM going to try to shrug off the blame onto Toyota and say it's their issue to deal with?
Or is GM going to step up and say "Ok.. we f*&ked up. We're sorry. Let us fix it."?
Personally, I feel rather pessimistic about the entire issue at this point.
There's a good chance that the next vehicle I buy, in the event that I purchase another car, will NOT be GM.
Never had any issues with the Silverado trucks, though.

And Audi S6, maybe. But that's a pipedream for years down the road.
