My 06' had 40k miles on it when started shifting hard into drive and into drive gears. The problem came and went about one day a week. Took it in to have it looked at. Dealer got the car when it was shifing fine and found nothing wrong. Finally at 44k the car started shifting hard and the check engine light came on. The problem was a worn selector cam in the transmission. This problem is not very uncommon and takes 2-3 hours to fix. If you experience this problem and your check engine light does not come on, call the dealer and ask if they will correct the issue without the check engine light on. It will save you a trip if the answer is no. The problem does not hurt your transmission with the hard shiftin. If your car is shifing soft, check the fluid level in the trans. Soft shifting can wear your transmission quickly and needs to be corrected as soon as possible to prolong the life of the trans. Hope this post helps anyone that has the same issue.
