I l purchased a 2006 G6 last Wednesday and so far am very pleased with it. However I can not find out if it has ABS or not and so I have been looking for an RPO list to check the codes in my glove box to see just what all this car has on it. I tried to search this site but because I am not real familiar with you site I was unable to retreive what I needed with a search.

Hey John welcome. I think it would be hard to find a car these days w/o ABS.

JL9 is the option for 4 wheel abs

if u give your dealership your Vin, they can tell you ALL.....

Believe it or not my G6 does not have ABS and there is an rpo code to delete ABS. The odd thing is that when you delete the ABS you get 4 wheel disks. What fun this will be next winter.

Dealer

I went to the Pontiac dealer with my Vin number and they looked it up on their information system. They could not believe it either in fact the service manager did not know that you could order a car without ABS. I have talked to several people who sell cars that I know and the opinion they had was sure it has ABS it is a Federal Law. Not any more.

You could order it without ABS on 05 and 06. Im not sure about 07-09.
