Wifey drove car home the other day and temp gauge didn't read so I change coolamt temp sensor and my thermostat with new ones. Filled the radiator still runs hot over 225 and seems thermostat may be bad? Any ideas? Oh and the heat isn't working now. Im thinking water pump. It's a 2009 GT 3.5 non flex fuel.

Someone mentioned that I may need to purge the system as there may be air in it. How is that done. I know on some cars there is a coolant bleeder valve. Is there one on this?

Solved the issue. Had to purge the cooling system. You have to do that by squeezing the upper hose after coolant has been added to radiator and hose is filled. Repeat process until coolant squirts up in the overflow tank.
