I read one thread where this exact situation was asked for but no solution was provided. http://www.g6ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12170

I want my Halos to be active during the day without my low beam DRL(use my Halos as DRL if you want to look at it that way) and without disabling the auto lights. I dont want to roll the switch on and off every time I use my car.

Has anyone found a solution for this?

You want the halo on as the DRL but the headlights off?
I would say pull the DRL fuse, this will disable the drl headlights. Now just wire your halos to the DRL circuit. You can use a fuse tap.

Now I don't know if the halos will turn on at night with the drl fuse, but you can also pull power from the parking light circuit for that.

How would the DRL circuit have power if the fuse is pulled?

I would personally just wire the halos to any fuse that is hot when the car is on, and then pull the DRL fuse.

Only one side of the fuse is powered. Its like popping in a blown fuse and pulling power from the hot side. At least that's what I was trying to get at.

But really your idea is more simple. Haha
