I have just bought 6 new lights for my g6 low beam, high beam and fog. I cannot seem to get the headlamp out of the car. Anyone know how to do this? I have pulled until i have blead. it will not come out of its ball and socket. Help
you have to drop the front bumper. once the bumper is dropped unscrew the headlight and then lightly pull it out. you hve to be careful because it is clipped into the fender, just pull it out slowly.
there are plastic pins you have to take out of the bumper but again do it slowly you dont wanna break them. then you unscrew it. there are also platic pins in the wheel well that you have to get to.
I didn't drop the bumper to get out my headlight. I took the pins out on the top and pulled the grill away slightly.. you should be able to wiggle the headlight out that way.. its in the manual actually. It shows you what i just told you.
You just have to apply some pressure. Theres a ball joint that keeps the headlight in place. Use a bit of force and pull towards yourself. You should here a snapping sound and the light should come free. Once thats done and you pulled all the clips from the bumper (you don't need to drop it). Just pull the bumper forward and just pull the headlight out (this might take some finesse).
