What up G6ers... Just found this website yesterday while lookin for a fix to my water leak issue. Thanks for havin me! And take it easy on me, I'm new to forums and I'm full of dumb questions. Whats a sticky thread? Just downloaded the iPhone app and now I'm hooked!
By the way I'm driving an 06 GTP which I've had for about a year now. Very happy with it. Before this car I was driving a 72 Chevy Caprice. Quite an upgrade in technology!
Anyways, I appreciate all your help and criticism, and happy G6 driving!

Hello! Welcome! I'm new to the domestic scene, I purchased the G6 a few weeks ago, came from the Euro car scene.

And if you wanna post pictures, you can use.. Imageshack, tinypic, photobucket, ect.. just google IMAGE HOSTING SITES. Now, to post them on the forum the format is [.IMG]URL.COM[./IMG].. remove the .

I hope you're enjoying your new G6, I know I am! :]

Any plans for it? Just curious!

Hey thanks guys, yea people tend to get out of ur way when ur driving a 72 Chevy tank. I loved that car, it was like a motel on wheels!
I plan on posting some pics today, but my g6 is basically stock besides the sf giants lisc plate frames! As far as beginner mods, where would you start? K&n air filter? Exhaust?

Hey thanks again, now as far as tint, I heard of a problem tinting the back glass because of the third brakelight. Is that because it's in the way? Or somthin to do with the law?

Nah, I have the 06 coupe, it's in the back window. And it's kind of a pain trying to clean the glass back there. But that sucks about the metallic tint cause that was what I would prefer. What about the little defrost lines goin through the glass... Doesn't that cause the tint to bubble?

oh my bad ha didn't realize ya had the coupe...i don't think it'll cause to bubble once its sat for a week or so. they tell you not to roll down your windows for that long so i'm going to say don't run your defroster for that long to be sure too. people have said on here though that its a really good idea to get a warranty- they're usually free and it'll cover everything. its always nice to have a business stand by they're work anyway. i went to a place and i asked for a quote and he gave be 250 for my front 2 and back 3 (sedan), with no warranty and his explanation was "you don't even need one as long as you don't roll your windows down". i said no thanks bye.

as for the third brake- maybe you can ask for a cutout on the back window to fit that brake light. shouldn't look too bad either...

don't do the cut out it looks terrible!!! theres a way to remove the brake light just long enough for them to tint the ehole window, it looks much better, so worth the extra effort!!!

Welcome to the site! I drive an 06 GTP coupe 6 speed, that I bought brand new and now have over 105,000 miles on it. I have had very few problems with it aside from the wear and tear, I have had to replace an 02 sensor and a door latch (to door ajar sensor went bad and would no longer index my window the rest of the way up). Have fun with it!

I have the coupe as well. I have 18% tint all around. The rear windshield was done in ONE piece, and each defrost line was actually cut out of the tint, and in regards to the brake light - this was also cut out. You CANNOT notice cutouts unless you're inside the car, examining the tint on the rear windshield. My radio AM/FM still works 100%, and my defrost works perfectly.
