I'm GammaG6er...I think you can figure that name out.

I just bought a 09' G6 GT Convertible with the Sport pkg. It has just under 4500 miles on it so it's quite new still. I haven't picked it up yet but sometime this next week. I have to go to Ohio to pick it up. I'm in Mid-Michigan so it'll be about a 5 1/2 hour trip. Well worth it though because I got exactly what I wanted. I test drove quite a few here in Michigan and I obviously liked them. The only difference is my car has the 3.9L and I drove the 3.5L.

So, fill me in on what's in store...

Actually I've had to make 3 trips to the dealer in the past couple months due to hardtop issues, which I'd rather not have had to do, but still it's a pretty cool deal overall :beer:

welcome!! I dont have a convetible and, i wish i had a 3.9 but i love my 6 anyways and havnt had any problems with it.

So far knock on wood no top troubles here.Bought mine new with 26 kilometers on it,now have 85,000 k and still love it.3.9 is a nice engine,if you want to pep it up get CRABs .What colour did you get it in?BTW welcome aboard.

Another Michigander.....awesome. You must of got a great deal! I still see some G6's that are new on the lot at Rinke Cheverolet in Warren MI, which is where I got mine, and they are really priced to sell for sure, and I thought I got a great deal on mine in December! I think I am gonna try to set up a night at the Woodward Dream cruise and have us all meet and cruise Woodward all at the same time. The cruise is all week long, I go out on Wednesdays with my Vette and about 300 other Vette owners......

I checked out Rinke but I got a better deal and in the color I wanted. You don't see many of them in the Dark Steel Gray Metallic. I'm from the Detroit area so I'm familiar with the Dream Cruise...sounds like fun!

Excuse me for not knowing but what are CRABs? I am a grandma remember! lmao...not the normal grandma and I'm still quite young! I'm game for some more pep though!

One dealer told me the 3.9L had some issues but I haven't been able to find anything about it...anyone here know?

Anyway, here's what I got (not my pic but it's now my car)...

So, I looked up and found out what the CRABs are. Sounds awsome...but, does it void my warranty?

What they say about the crab intake, is you can always go back to the original configuration if and when you have to go back to the dealer. With the engine you have, you will have plenty of pep, without it..
