Has any one come across this issue yet? My 05 G6 remote start doesn't work and had it on a tech 2 and it says it has a hood latch sensor fault code. The sensor is part of the latch assembly apparently. I was told it's 3 bolts to put in as well, My question is has any one has had to do one of these and do I have to worry about alignment issues with the latch or is it as simple as the mechanic at GM said?

The latch has elongated holes. You would have to mount it and test fit the hood closed.
I believe the body shop procedure is to remove the bumper cover so you can access the latch with the hood closed. This way you can seat it and level just right and tighten it down.
Otherwise it'll be some trial and error before its right.

I actually lossened mine up and lowered it a hair so the hood was closed tighter. It rattled against the latch when idle at a light and turning up those little posts added an unsightly gap.
