AEM Dryflow filters only need to be cleaned with a detergent and dryed. A K&N filter will most likely need to be cleaned with a recharge kit and re-oiled. It should say which process on the top of the filter.

This is exactly what I need to do for my Crab air filter. I've heard that the oil can really gum up your MAF sensor though. Is this if your not careful and you over oil it? do you have to use the oil?

WWPD?
(What Would Pooners Do?)

Follow the instructions and don't over-oil it. The MAF does screw up if you use too much oil.
