I've purchased a new switch of the factory stock cruise control because the one that I have currently isn't working (I've been though all the posts here and everywhere else, trying this before I take it to a garage). I'm having trouble removing this little silver/grey "plate" that holds the cruise control switch. Can anyone help?

In order to remove the plate, you have to remove the airbag. The concept seams scary to some, but I ensure you it is very simple. Here is a link to a video I found and it should help you out.

REMEMBER TO UNDO THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL ON YOUR BATTERY!!! If you forget there is a slight chance that the airbag will deploy when your moving it.

If you still have the factory radio in your g6, and if your interested, I would also suggest adding the audio controls to your steering wheel since you will already of your airbag remove, but its just an idea if you have some extra time on your hands.
